West also directed a 25 minute[2] short film of the same name that debuted at the Cannes Film Festival [3]. It will never be publicly released due to its unique fusion of short film and art installation. [4] Joe Perez, former creative director of DONDA, said that the film is "meant to be shown on 7 screens." 2x4 is one of the conceptual design firms that worked with DONDA to produce the film. [5] Footage of the film was shown in 2017 during a lecture by Michael Rock titled "Attention Disruption Disorder", including screenshots. Here is a clip[6] from the full lecture.[7]

Joe Perez was asked about why Cruel Summer wasn't publicly released.

Cruel Winter[edit]

Not much is known about the continuously postponed sequel to Cruel Summer, called Cruel Winter. What is known is that Q-Tip would be featured.[8]

Champions was released as the lead single off the upcoming compilation album.[9] It was at one point slated for a February 2017 release, with Travis Scott as co-executive producer.[10] During an interview with Hot 97, he described it as "youthful" and "straight to the point," claimed that "a handful" of songs were picked for the compilation album, and that every GOOD Music artist was involved, including Desiigner.[11]
